Karthik Palani, after completing his Under Graduation in Physics, did a Diploma in Film Technology (Cinematography) at FiIm & Television Institute of Tamilnadu, he assisted DOP Mr. S. Tirru for about 9 years in the following films
- Aakrosh, Tezz, Krrish 3 and SNAFU – Situation Normal All Fucked Up (Hindi)
- Geethanjali (Malayalam)
- 24 and Petta (Tamil)
- Janatha Garage and Bharat Ane Nenu (Telugu)
And commercials for major production houses in India like Nirvana, Corcoise films, Bang Bang films, Sunrise Films, Hot Films, Anonymous Films, Opticus Inc, soda films, Foot candle films, etc and brands like Center Fresh, Slice, Miranda, KFC Krushers, Tata Indicom, Hutch – Vodafone, Kalyan Jewellers, Prince Jewellers, Sangam Suitings, GRT jewelers, Chennai silks, Manapuram Gold, Volini, Canon, Philips, etc
Then started doing his individual projects as a cinematographer for commercials, corporate films, Shorts, and a Hindi Feature named Love Shagun released on Feb 26, 2016, starring Anuj Sachadeva and Nidhi Subbaiah, directed by Mr. Saandesh Nayak, followed by Next Nuve, Brand Babu, Penguin, French Briyani, Varisu and Adipurush
Then started doing his individual projects as a cinematographer for commercials, corporate films, Shorts, and a Hindi Feature named Love Shagun released on Feb 26, 2016, starring Anuj Sachadeva and Nidhi Subbaiah, directed by Mr. Saandesh Nayak, followed by Next Nuve, Brand Babu, Penguin, French Briyani, Varisu and Adipurush
